Flowering Enhancer

FloraMax Flowering Enhancer

3-in-1 additive:  1. PK additive. 2. Cal-Mag-Iron additive. 3. pH stabilizer.

Flowering additive for plantsThis is the ultimate flowering additive for making growing easier – REGARDLESS of what brand of base nutrient is being used. It serves 3 functions:

i) Flowering Enhancer contains a full dose of “cal-mag” and iron DTPA (“cal-mag-iron”).  This simplifies growing by preventing the need for a standalone “cal-mag” additive – EVEN when using RO or coco as a growing medium. Cal-Mag-Iron helps prevent common deficiency symptoms such as leaf yellowing / chlorosis, leaf curl, stunted growth and withered fruit-set.

ii) Flowering Enhancer contains a carefully balanced combination of phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) – known as “PK”.  This provides the necessary base levels of “PK” for the flowering phase of plant growth.  PK is essential for promoting large and vigorous floral blooms.

iii) “Locks” nutrient pH below 6.5 to help prevent pH-related deficiency symptoms – even when hard water or alkaline additives are used.  This is achieved by supplying pH buffers that are 5-times stronger than what is used in competing brands.  In recirculating systems, many growers find pH is stable for 7-10 days…or longer! In coco and soil, pH adjustment is rarely required.

  • This product will solve many of the deficiency issues associated with powdered base products.
  • Available in larger pack sizes – 1L, 5L, 20L and 1,000L – suitable for large scale commercial applications.
  • Dosage: 2ml/L (7.5ml/Gal) throughout flowering phase.
Testimonials - “Compared to the other PK additives, we see a lot more swell...”

“The size and weight of our fruits have been really impressive since using Flowering Enhancer.”

“Compared to the other PK additives, we see a lot more swell when using Flowering Enhancer.”

“Our plants are now a lot stronger and more rigid throughout flowering.”

Update….the last time the reservoir was adjusted was 9 days ago. At that time the pH was set to 5.9. 9 days later in the drip system, the pH reservoir is 5.9 still. Impressive!!!! Most nutrients would have had the pH sky high if there was no adjustment for 9 days!!! Check out FloraMax nutes!!!!” @eghydro 1 Nov 18

“We use Flowering Enhancer with our regular nutrient and the improvement in pH stability and solubility was obvious from the outset. There is also no more leaf yellowing from early flower.”

FAQ

Should I be adding *extra* PK additives to the FloraMax feeding schedule during bloom?  No, the PK levels (Phosphorous and Potassium) are optimized with Flowering Enhancer, Resin-XS and the FloraMax base nutrient (VegaFlora AB or Veg-1).  Avoid using Resin-XS during early-bloom as extra PK may negatively impact yields with certain strains.  During mid-to-late bloom, we generally recommend using Resin-XS at 3ml/L (11.5ml/Gal).  However, for heavy feeders, Resin-XS can be used at upwards of 4ml/L (15ml/Gal).

Can Flowering Enhancer be used in veg (or flower) with OTHER nutrient ranges?  Yes.  In veg, many growers now use Flowering Enhancer to prevent purple stems and petioles, and to avoid calcium, magnesium and iron deficiencies.   In bloom, Flowering Enhancer integrates very well into other ranges along with Resin-XS as the stand-alone PK additives.  This combination prevents the need for a cal-mag additive, provides pH stability and prevents the need for messy resin enhancers, carbohydrates and finishing agents.

When using FloraMax, do I need a “cal-mag”?  No, the FloraMax line is designed to eliminate the requirement for additional “cal-mag” additives as it is built into our base nutrients and Flowering Enhancer product.  Over hundreds of test grows during the development phase there was never any need for a dedicated cal-mag additive. Furthermore, use of additional “cal-mag” may result in excessive calcium precipitate leading to clogged lines or build-up in the reservoir.

Why then does FloraMax manufacture a “cal-mag”?  To address the deficiencies found in competing brands.  We are committed to helping growers achieve their best results regardless of the nutrient regime they follow, our Ca-Mg-Fe product is ideal for use with other regimes.

RESOURCES
'PK' flowering additives (Article)
PK additives are necessary during the flowering or fruiting phase of a plant. A variety of flowering additives are available, however PK additives are the most common type.

PK additives primarily contain phosphate (“P”) and potassium (“K”). These elements are essential during the flowering and fruiting phase. Although bloom nutrients contain phosphorus and potassium, heavy fruiting plants such as tomatoes and peppers have an especially high demand for these elements. Hence, PK additives are used in conjunction with bloom nutrients to help ensure no deficiencies occur*. They are also a more economical alternative compared to using extra bloom nutrient. *Note that EC readings will not help determine if sufficient potassium and phosphorus is in reserve.

PK additives should generally be used from the onset of budding until flowers or fruit are fully formed.

When choosing a PK additive choose a brand that is relatively pH ‘neutral’. Many brands are quite ‘alkaline’ which causes a significant increase in nutrient solution pH. These can quickly destabilize the nutrient if pH is not adjusted immediately after dosing.
